Give them weekly chores with attached dollar amounts, like 10 bucks for mowing the lawn. When they complete the chore pick the date, and hit the chore complete button.
There is an update imminent with a lot of free functionality. The chore history list is now a fully functioning check book! Now you’re kids can add expenses, get paid for allowance, and keep a bank balance.

I found a bug with amount owed to the person. The label is also not descriptive of the result. It should say owed, not earned.
I’ve made the changes with some other minor tweaks and have submitted it to Apple. Should be a week or so.... This will be 1.2

Face lift achieved! Added separate screen for chore names
Scroll through chore history, delete any inaccurate data with a finger swipe.
After logging into Facebook, type a message and publish to your wall!

Enter new expense name here and amount. Hit the add expense button.
This is the new check book functionality. You will still see previous chore history, and can delete them. They will also not impact your balance. Only payments made from the first screen and expenses entered on the expense screen will impact your balance.
Pick person to enter chores. You may also swipe to delete the person.
After selecting the person, pick the date that the chore was done and mark which chores were completed. Take a look at the newly modified screens. Coming soon!
This is how much the person is currently owed. Version 1.2 the label changes to Your owed.
Enter allowance payments here. Choose the date the payment was made as well
Hit this button to manage chore names, chore details for a person, and to add people.
After picking a person and date, scroll through chores and hit the complete button to enter a successful chore.
You can delete chores that no longer need to be done. If you delete one by accident, simply go to the manage chores screen and re-add.
After hitting this button, you will get the below chore management screen
Enter a person’s name into box and hit add person button to add kids.
Enter a chore name and the amount it’s worth. Hit the add chore button to create new chore
Post to your wall how much money this person is owed. This takes you to the Facebook screen below
Hit the add expense button to launch the add expense screen
Enter date of expense.
This will show any previous expenses entered for quick selection. To remove from list you must remove the original expense from checkbook
Use this to switch back to classic view
Use either of these buttons to add people and chores
